Chuck Hagel served as the Secretary of Defence during the Obama administration. Prior to his role in the US Government, Secretary Hagel served as a United States senator for Nebraska from 1997 - 2009. He is also a decorated war veteran serving as an infantry squad leader in the Vietnam war.
