You made a difference

Thanks to your support, BookMyShow has responded to this petition informing us they have updated and will continue to update accessibility details on their website and app, specifically wheelchair-accessible seating options! I believe this is a huge step in the right direction towards displaying information online about accessibility and I appreciate the company's swift response.

While I am glad to see this happen, there is still a lot of work to be done. BookMyShow is India's largest online ticket booking company which also makes it a main aggregator of venue-related information. A full victory will come when BookMyShow sees getting accessibility information from venues spaces as a requirement and NOT just an added bonus if say PVR happened to provide it. (Btw, PVR cinemas will be rolling out their accessibility agenda in the coming months, see link below. Hopefully other venues will follow suit.) Let us continue to strive to see ALL cinema halls and venues in India have complete details on accessibility available online, including mentioning if a space is inaccessible.
