Mourning Charleston

I am devastated over the Charleston massacre. But I am also aware that if diversity were made part of the curriculum in meaningful ways like summer reading or required reading there would be a chance for outliers like Roof to come in contact with PoC even in a predominately white community. Having zero exposure with PoC makes it easier to hate and less likely to connect/relate or empathize. http://nyti.ms/1LrOIuq
