Selle Valley - Skinner/Otis KBCR is working with neighbors and attorney, Preston Carter of Givens Pursley, to file for a judicial review. We hope everyone will donate since this will benefit everyone in the county if overturned and clarified.
Milton Ollerton, the Bonner County Planning Director, has resigned and the County has announced they are looking for a new director. Here is the link to the job opening here click on planning director
New Commissioners start January 2023. Asia Williams and Luke Omodt will be taking Jeff Connolly and Dan McDonalds place as County Commissioners but not until January 2023. A lot of things can happen from now until then, and we worry it won’t be good. WE need participation especially with a new Comp Plan being written with workshops. See above.
We need everyone to get involved especially since our KBCR chair, Dave Bowman, will not be our future County Commissioner. We need these two new county commissioners to work for the people, and influence Steve Bradshaw to do the same.
Please consider bearing some of the cost of helping keep Bonner County rural by taking some of the actions approved and appealing those decisions, or taking them to the next level. The cost of reconsiderations, appeals, and lawsuits, add up quickly when dealing with attorney’s fees, record costs, and other expenses. This cost and burden should be paid by all who benefit from the outcome, not just a few. If everyone donated some, it wouldn’t be hard on the few who not only do a lot of the physical work volunteering their time, but also their money they donate.
