Che Café alum and current Collective member Arnie Schoenberg (Professor of Anthropology San Diego City College) will be conducting a Ché Café Historical Tour 5-6 PM, at Che Café, just after the Open House at Groundwork Books. OPEN HOUSE Groundwork Bookstore, UCSD Student Center June 4, 3-5 pm, for UCSD Alumni Weekend 2016 AND don’t miss the Che Café Historical Tour, 5-6 pm at Che Café The new UCSD Co-ops and Collectives Alumni and the Groundwork Bookstore Collective invite you to join us and meet alumni and current members of campus co-ops and collectives. Come to the Open House and hear about the state of the negotiations for a new lease for the co-ops: Che Cafe, Food Co-op, General Store, and Groundwork Bookstore. The 2006-2016 lease expired in April 2016. Launched on August 30, 2014, UCSD Co-ops and Collectives Alumni is an unincorporated association. We are independent of the official UCSD Alumni Association. We aim to gather together former students who worked in any of the co-ops and collectives on campus, as well as those who support the UCSD co-ops and the growth of the co-ops at the campus (whether one worked in one of the co-ops or not).
