Thank you to everyone that signed this petition! We came together and our voices were heard! Im still overwhelmed with the amount of attention this petition received. I expected to get a few hundred signatures and submit it to the school board. I never imagined it would make national news. With that being said all of us now have some other issues to focus on, sitting at the board meeting last night transportation seems to be an issue. Apparently a mother battling Cancer was denied an exception to have her child bussed instead of having to walk almost 2 miles. This is unexceptable . As a community this is something we can not allow. There's also an issue with before and after care. Not every school has it and fees vary per school. The program should be affordable throughout the district. Again thank you for supporting this petition but let's also start addressing these other issues. Together we can keep making a difference!
