Today at Blue Hills seniors had their first graduation rehearsal. During that rehearsal they announced that there will be no wearing of military sashes at graduation. The only reason we are given is that we are not graduating from the military (basic training, etc.) There are 3 students enlisted into the Navy, 2 students enlisted into the Marines, 2 students are enlisted into the Air Force. We all disagree with this rule and want to start a petition to go against it to bring to the Blue Hills School Committee on June 5th.
