I was contacted this morning by a representative from BCBS of IL. The representative told me there was good news, and that they would meet related to this matter tomorrow afternoon and we would know by COB tomorrow. I had a good laugh. Do you know how many times we’ve heard “ooh well the Medical Director is on vacation” or “the meeting can’t happen until Wednesday”? All the while Alicia rots in a disgracefully inadequate situation. So, we’ll continue drive for an affirmative decision today, knowing damn well we’ll likely get another denial tomorrow. Thanks for your continued support and if you could mention in your comments that the stall tactics are an insult to our collective intelligence and we need action now, but would have preferred 3 weeks ago when we began fighting them.
