Tell Everyone to Sign the Bloordale Beach Park Petition and Some Park Info

If you've already signed the petition, thanks very much! 

This petition has accumulated over 800 signatures, if you include the people who've signed actual pieces of paper. 

I encourage you to tell everyone you know to sign this petition, either online or on paper! If you know anyone interested in signing a piece of paper, please tell them to head over to one of the following Bloordale businesses: B-Side Barbers, Nuthouse, or TOWN. And tell them to ask for the paper petition in case they don't see it there. 

Here are four things about the new park:
1. The city has been calling it 70 Croatia Park, because it's located at 70 Croatia Street. Croatia Street is called Croatia Street because the Croatian church on that street had the street name changed from Awde Street to Croatia Street in the 1980s. 

2. Apparently the park will be the size of a baseball field.

3. There will be a new street called Collegiate Road next to the new park, on the west side. On the east side will be a pedestrian street that's currently nameless. They've been referring to it as High Street, though it's not a nod to the many cannabis stores around here, and is just a placeholder name.

4. Construction on the park is scheduled to begin in the fall of 2025 and the park is scheduled to be complete by winter 2026, which means maybe it will open sometime in 2027, if we're lucky.
