As many of you know, I am the founder of Blood is Blood, a non-profit organization founded in Oct 2015 after I was turned away from donating life-saving blood because I was gay!
It is our mission to encourage the FDA to change and implement blood donation policies that are not discriminatory toward gay and bisexual men in an effort to save countless lives!

While we have come a long way from a once indefinite deferral to a 12-month deferral (Dec 2015) to now a 3-month deferral period. (Aug 2020)

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration needs to do better!
With Canada recently joining the list of many countries that no longer ban gay blood the USA needs to follow suit!
