Blizzard: give 'The Dreadwake' mount in WoW water-walking as a gesture of goodwill to fans

Blizzard Entertainment has added the 180 Days Game Time & Dreadwake Mount Bundle (store link: US / EU) to their store until October 21, 2018 as part of the launch of World of Warcraft's current expansion "World of Warcraft: Battle For Azeroth".

Players who purchase this receive an in-game item, The Dreadwakewhich is a 'mount', or player vehicle.

As of the time of writing this petition, The Dreadwake has the ability to be used on the ground and in the air. However, despite being a boat, it functions like every other flying mount on and under water.

Many outspoken members of the community (including prominent content creators) have recently voiced their concerns regarding the content and development of Battle for Azeroth

A common theme in these complaints is the notion that Blizzard is not (sufficiently) listening and addressing to community feedback.

In addition, many in the WoW community suspect that Blizzard may have introduced this item as a tactic to counter a potential loss in subscription numbers by 'locking in' players for 6 months. As such, they have expressed their dissatisfaction with this approach.

We, the undersigned, believe that The Dreadwake should have the ability to be used on the water, because it is a boat. In this regard it should function in a way that is similar to that of the Azure Water Strider, a mount that has the ability to walk on the surface of water at the same speed as a ground mount would on land.

We, the undersigned, also believe that The Dreadwake boat should retain its ability to be used on the ground and in the air. As such, we understand that this will effectively make the mount the first in the game's history to be usable (and effective) on all 3 terrain types - land/sea/air.

We, the undersigned, urge Blizzard Entertainment to make this happen as part of a future update to Battle for Azeroth and a gesture of good will and faith to its loyal subscribers. We believe that such a gesture would represent the company's commitment to listening to the concerns of its' customers and continue to support their needs.
