Almost 1 year later

Hi Everyone. Thanks for supporting me. Unfortunately the legal battle still continues, although there have been a couple of minor wins. The Department of Workforce Services sent me a letter last month saying that I had been overpaid all the unemployment benefits they had given me, because they had reversed their decision. I was flabbergasted to say the least. The letter came over 2 months after the unemployment benefits had finished and almost 10 months since the original claim had been lodged, 1 month after the assault. I decided to appeal the change and thankfully Workforce Services found in my favour saying Murdock Hyundai discharged me without cause. I also came to a small settlement for Workers compensation. I have never in my life even thought of applying for Workers Compensation, but with the toll this battle has had on my mental health, I though it necessary. They only agreed to $3500, saying that I had not suffered any PTSD. I felt I could fight it further and prove to them that I had suffered, but decided it was better to put energy into the unfair dismissal and discrimination charges. Anyway, that's where it stands right now. Did you know that the first value on their company Core Values states "Always do what is right, not what is easy, cheap, popular, or convenient - and do so without excuse and regardless of the cost. Accept responsibility for your actions. Be accountable for your results. Take ownership of your mistakes." Well, the are definitely NOT living up to this Core Value. At every step they have tried to deny, lie, misdirect, and even insinuate that I was to blame. I am ashamed to say that the Murdock's even belong to the same church as myself. To be honest. I forgive them. I don't know what background Doug Thorn has that causes him to be so angry and short tempered, and I see that being in the car industry has hardened the Murdock's into uncaring individuals who have lost sight of what is right and what employees to believe.
