You will have seen recently, that every Solar and Wind Farm, now incorporates a BESS, (which is a cluster of huge Lithium Ion Batteries (LIB) and the Labor Party, is promoting for up to a million householder’s with solar panels to purchase a Home Lithium Ion-Battery (HLIB). (at a net cost of $11,000).
The idea behind having these BESSs and HLIBs is that miraculously, they will provide electricity to the Grid. When the Sun is not shining and the Wind is not blowing.
However this is just another clever scam, to drive up electricity prices and bleed more money from helpless electricity consumers and taxpayers. Because:
1. BESS’s or HLIB’s alone can never generate any electricity, they only store it.
2. The purpose of a BESS or HLIB, is only to store surplus energy from solar panels or wind turbines and use or resell it at a higher price.
3. BESS’s or HLIB’s are very inefficient, as the requirement to use ‘inverters’ to convert electricity from DC to AC current in the transfer process, causes a loss of the electricity of between 15% to 20% from the quantity that they store.
4. Double Counting of Generation. The electricity generated by a Solar or Wind Farm, can only be used once. Either, (A) it goes directly into the Grid or home. Or, (B) be stored in the BESS or HLIB and fed into the Grid at a later time. The idea that electricity stored in a BESS or HLIB, is freshly generated is nonsense. To count it again, when it is released from the BESS or HLIB is to count the one generation twice.
5. Adding a BESS or HLIB, only makes the electricity more expensive and unaffordable for electricity consumers.
6. Domestic customers need to be aware that their electricity provider can have access to their HLIB and draw it into the Grid, in the event of a shortage in the Grid.
7. BESS’s or HLIB’s consisting of a lot of Lithium Ion, are prone to overcharge and result in a run-a-way fire, with explosions. As Lithium floats on water, it is very difficult to extinguish and can burn for days. The smoke is very toxic, special breathing apparatus is required by firefighters.
8. It is possible that the presence of a BESS or HLIB will see a large increase in Insurance premiums.
AS THE DISASTER OF THE RENEWABLES BECOMES MORE APPARENT. IT BECOMES MORE IMPORTANT THAT OUR PETITION TO STOP THE CLOSURE OF MORE AUSTRALIAN COAL FIRED POWER STATIONS HAS TO BE HEARD.
This includes Eraring NOW 2027, Yallourn NOW 2032), Bayswater in 2033, with Loyang A in 2045 and all other coal fired power stations.
And no consideration of them being closed be considered until assured supplies of base load electricity 24/7 is available from coal, gas or uranium powered generators. Even if this requires the coal fired generators be compulsory acquired by the relevant Government, in the National interest and to maintain the supply of base load electricity 24/7 that is essential to STOP the Grid from collapsing.

KEEP INFORMED BY DAILY MONITORING THE AEMO DATA DASHBOARD. And alert your friends to watch the AEMO dashboard, the more know what's happening the better.
Particularly at 7pm and 7am (Or a time that suits you?) watch (and record) the mix of coal, gas hydro, batteries, solar and wind generation and the prices per MWh for each State on the AEMO dashboard.
Example: Eastern States 11th May 2025 5.40pm AEST. Batteries 3%, Biomass 0%, Black Coal 48% Brown Coal 17%, Gas 11%, Hydro 14% Diesel 0% Solar 0%, Wind 6%. 5.40pm a time when Solar has entered a daily 16 hours (lack of fuel), zero production period. Unreliable wind is all over the place averaging 6%, but ranging from only 4% in Tas, up to 8% in Vic.
To underline the importance of our coal fired generators 1/05/25, 5.40 pm AEST. In NSW coal is producing 74% Solar 0%, Wind 7%, Qld coal 72%, solar 0% wind 6% Vic Brown coal 74%, solar 0%, wind 8%. SA batteries 23%, gas 69%, solar 1%, wind 7% and Tas hydro 92%, wind 4%.
WITHOUT COAL AUSTRALIA WOULD BE BLACKED OUT.
