Well the rush is on to reach Net Zero by 2050. On the 2nd of April (not April Fool’s Day) Greg Combet (former head of the Net Zero Economy Agency, established in July 2023) told the National Press Club that hundreds of billions of dollars of investment in clean-energy projects would be needed over coming decades to meet our emissions obligations and underpin a green economy.
As mentioned in my previous update, trying to reach Net Zero is an exercise in futility.
1. Because Co2 is the life blood of every living thing and increasing Co2 is actually ‘Greening’ the Planet.
2. Because Australia having so much grasslands, forests and surrounding oceans, create a Co2 sink, which absorbs far more Co2, than created by human activities.
3. Because poorer Countries particularly in Aisa and South America want to lift their populations out of poverty. And the way to do it is with low cost, reliable fossil fuels.
As the spending of hundreds of billions of dollars, (I have read it could be 445 billion dollars) will result in a zero benefit (but at the same time mean unreliable and extremely expensive electricity supply).
What a huge difference would be made if the hundreds of billions of dollars, was spent on defence, infrastructure, housing, health, education, etc.
I can only speculate, why is the money being spent? Could it be there are subsidies in experiments of renewable energy. Hydrogen for instance? Could it be there are subsidies in construction of Renewable Factories? Are there subsidies in the operations in the operations of Renewable factories? Are the transmission lines being subsidised.
Subsidies, subsidies, subsidies, subsidies! To me the Renewable Industry has become a milking cow that can be milked for never ending subsidies. By special interest groups. With no thought of providing Australian business and the Australian people with low cost, reliable power 24/7.
THIS ‘TRANSITION TO RENEWABLES’ MUST BE EXPOSED FOR THE RORT, SCAM, CONFIDENCE TRICK THAT IT IS.
May I strongly urge all business owners, large and small. CEO’s Managers, those in charge of aged care homes, and other public institutions, everyone in a position of management. Homeowners, etc. Reliable, low cost power is essential. Blackouts are a diabolically, serious issue. Talk with your management, boards, staff about how it will affect your business.
Any business who believes that their business is totally renewable energy powered is deluding themselves and doesn’t realise how wrong they are. It is more likely to be anywhere between 60% to 80% fossil fuels and only 20% to 30% unreliables, with the damage unreliables are doing to Rural Australia can only be described as reprehensible.

Particularly at 7pm and 7am (Or a time that suits you?) watch (and record) the mix of coal, gas hydro, batteries, solar and wind generation and the prices per MWh for each State on the AEMO dashboard.
Example: Eastern States 1st April 2024 5.40pm EDST. Batteries 1%, Biomass 0%, Black Coal 49% Brown Coal 18%, Gas 3%, Hydro 7% Diesel 0% Solar 11%, Wind 11%. In an hour solar will have gone to sleep for the next 15 to 16 hours and produce nothing. Winds 11% is not assured, if the night is calm, that could be down to 2% or 3%.
IT WILL BE EXTREMELY DANGEROUS TO GET TO A POINT WHERE WE RELY ONLY ON GENERATORS WHOSE PRODUCTION IS TOTALLY DRIVEN ON THE UNCERTAINTY OF THE WEATHER

Are you thinking of buying a generator? I’m having second thoughts about the portable generator, but I have gas for cooking and heating. WE MUST KEEP THOSE COAL FIRED GENERATORS GOING, TO KEEP OUR SOCIETY FROM HAVING A BLACKOUT ATTACK!
