Australia is sleepwalking into a disaster. As our petition clearly states Australia has become totally dependent on a reliable, constant supply of base load electricity 24/7. If there is disruption of supply for any length of time, then everyone, businesses, homes, public utilities hospitals, nursing homes, schools, etc., comes to a sudden and very disruptive stop.
PLEASE TAKE A PERSONAL INTEREST AS TO WHAT WOULD HAPPEN IF YOUR REFRIGERATOR AND FREEZER HAD NO POWER FOR SEVERAL HOURS PER DAY. IT SCARES THE HELL OUT OF ME EVERY TIME I THINK ABOUT IT.
While this is happening a Canadian finance company Brookfield Asset Management is fighting Australia’s biggest super fund AustralianSuper for control of one of Australia’s biggest electricity and gas supplier's Origin Energy. (Origin operates Eraring Power Station, Australia's largest coal-fired power station, in New South Wales, which it plans to close in 2025).
The battle over control of Origin has nothing to do with supplying Origin’s customers the most reliable and lowest priced electricity possible. IT IS ALL ABOUT MAKING AS MUCH MONEY AS POSSIBLE FROM TAXPAYER ‘RENEWABLE ENERGY' SUBSIDIES.
IT IS THE DISGRACE OF ALL FEDERAL AND STATE GOVERNMENTS THAT AUSTRALIA’S ELECTRICITY SUPPLY AND PRICING IS IN THE CONTROL OF FOREIGN OWNED ROBBER BARONS.
To apply pressure to these Governments may I recommend signing the Federal Government petition below, which asks for a moratorium on all major Renewable Projects until the full ramifications of the transition to Renewables is understood. A breather is needed, unless rural Australia is going to be swamped by insolvent black elephants.

KEEP INFORMED BY DAILY MONITORING THE AEMO DATA DASHBOARD. And alert your friends to watch the AEMO dashboard, the more know what's happening the better.
Particularly at 7pm and 7am (Or a time that suits you?) watch (and record) the mix of coal, gas hydro, batteries, solar and wind generation and the prices per MWh for each State on the AEMO dashboard.
Example: 6th Dec 9.45pm EDST. Batteries 0%, Biomass 0%, Black Coal 50%, Brown Coal 14%, Gas 13%, Hydro 14% Diesel 0% Solar 0%, Wind 8% (The unreliables Batteries, Solar and Wind a total of just 8%. I am afraid if we were relying on unreliables, Eastern Australia would be blacked out similar to North Korea).
With, SA having 0% batteries, 46% gas, 1% Diesel, 0% solar and 53% wind. Wow SA 53%, unreliables, but on a calm night, that could that drop to only 5%. And what would the price per MW be then?
Unreliables can be cheap for a few hours. But it is the average over 24hrs, that matters on your electricity bill.
We are up to 2,577 signatures, let’s increase it by many more, everyone’s future depends on it. Continue to spread the word, to all family, friends, anyone you meet, particularly discuss it with shop and business owners. Ask the question, “How do you plan to cope when the blackouts come? Are you thinking of buying a generator? I’m having second thoughts about the portable generator, but I have gas for cooking and heating. WE MUST KEEP THOSE COAL FIRED GENERATORS GOING, TO KEEP THE REFRIGERATORS AND FREEZERS FROM THAWING OUT.
