Blackberry playbook was a really good product with good hardware and a strong os but the main reason due to which it was not sold was due to Negligence of Blackberry......CEO of blackberry promised that the new bb10 os would be coming to playbook in 2013.Many people waited but their was no response from blackberry and finally ceo said that bb10 would not come to blackberry playbook.Playbook has the ability to run some android apps but it supports apps only upto ginger bread os . The app store is also not very good and many mainstream apps are not available on it. Blackberry should Drop development completely and release the bootloader and device drivers so that devs can port Android (or any other OS) over. This, of course, will be a problem with existing support contracts BlackBerry might have with companies/institutions where they're bound to deliver a secure tablet. However, when the last contract expires, they should release this info.
This is really important because there are thousands of playbook owners who have left their playbook mainly because of lack of apps and after the news of bb10 not coming to it many people will also leave it.....There are still thousands of owner who want a system update or unlocked bootloader so that they can enjoy the new experience on blackberry playbook.....
