There are some press releases I would like to share with those that have taken the time to support and share this petition.  On Tuesday The House of Lords debated the Horizon Scandal led by Lord Arbuthnot who has championed our cause from the very beginning and many valid questions were raised.  You can view the short 8 minute debate here :-

There was also a great podcast created for Private Eye News by editor Richard Brooks and journalist Nick Wallis.  Nick has been a great supporter of Sub Postmasters over the many years, helping with many stories, TV programs and his blog/court write ups daily at postofficetrial.com  The podcast goes right back to when Horizon was first introduced back in 1999 and the failure it was then to run DWP benefits, instead deciding to scrap that idea due to software bugs and use it as an accounting system across the Post Office network.  You can listen to the full podcast below which will help everyone understand exactly what has gone on and why we need this support to finally resolve this large miscarriage of justice at the hands of a government/public owned business.  Listen live below or via Podcast App for Iphone, Spotify or Soundcloud.

The support is really being noticed, MPs are creating a committee on the back benches in order to help us push this towards a conclusion.  These consist of Kevan Jones (North Durham), Kate Osborne (Jarrow), Gill Furniss (Sheffield Brightside), Julie Elliot (Sunderland Central), Andrew Gwynne (Denton & Reddish), Diana Johnson (Hull North), Jo Stevens (Cardiff Central) and others.  We would like to thank them for their support.

As you will be aware an Inquiry will help to understand exactly who was responsible for letting this happen, how it was allowed to go on for so long, what cover up/negligent behaviour took place, why the Ex CEO of Post Office is now sitting on the board of the Imperial NHS Trust & Non Executive Board Member of the Cabinet Office, how senior management in Post Office who were found to have misled the High Court Judge continue in their roles and how Post Office moved money from suspense accounts to their annual profit & loss.  All of this while many Sub Postmasters are tens / hundreds of thousands of pounds out of pocket, bankrupt, sitting with criminal convictions and some no longer with us due to ill health and suicide.

We simply must obtain 5,000 signatures so it can be delivered directly to Downing Street, to the relevant Postal Minister Kelly Tolhurst of the Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy to show that the public supports the Judicial Inquiry process.  Your signature really does matter, so please one more time share this far and wide to friends, family, work colleagues and local businesses....it only takes a few seconds to make a real difference.  They only need this link change.org/postofficetrial and use Facebook, email, whatsapp and Messenger.  Please remember to remind them to verify there email after registering in order to validate the signature.
