Petition to Counter Slanderous Attacks Against Fr. Erik Richtsteig

0 have signed. Let’s get to 1,000!

This petition has been started as a direct response to the unfounded and slanderous statements by certain people within the St. Ambrose/Cosgriff School community regarding Father Erik Richtsteig.

Those who have signed this petition have actually met and interacted with Fr. Richtsteig. We come from a variety of different backgrounds and have worked with Fr. Richtsteig in a variety of different areas, ways, and venues.

We have come together in this petition to state unequivocally that Fr. Richtsteig is not a bigot, is not full of hatred, is not a misogynist, is not full of anger, and is not a threat to anyone’s safety in any way at all.

We find Fr. Richtsteig to be a kind and compassionate man, and a good and faithful priest for the Roman Catholic Church. We have never known him to preach on anything contrary to Roman Catholic Church teaching and have never found any reason to fear interacting with him or to have our children interact with him. To the contrary, our children have enjoyed talking to him and often run excitedly up to him when they see him.

Fr. Richtsteig has a great love of God and the Roman Catholic Church and her teachings. He is very knowledgeable of the doctrine of the Roman Catholic Church and never fails to amaze us with his ability to explain this doctrine with great fatherly love and simplicity with some humor thrown in for good measure.

He is truly a wonderful priest and an asset to any community in which he lives and works.

Note: Signatures will be forwarded to Bishop Solis. Comments are welcome; especially comments denoting specific interactions with Father Richtsteig and/or from where you know him.
