#Rally4LoB - Join us on National Libraries Day!

Friends of the Library of Birmingham
United Kingdom

Feb 1, 2015 — You are invited to join us for the Rally for Birmingham’s Public Libraries between 12-2pm outside the Library of Birmingham on Saturday 7th February.

The rally will be led by speeches from historian Prof Carl Chinn, photographer Vanley Burke, and crime writer Judith Cutler. There will be contributions from Birmingham’s Poet Laureates past and present together with music and story-telling.

This petition will be publicly presented to Cllr Penny Holbrook Cabinet Member for Skills, Learning and Culture at the end of the rally.

Together with the paper version of the petition we have collected nearly 6,000 signatures. This shows the widespread public support for the Library of Birmingham and opposition to these shortsighted library cuts.

FoLoB would like to thank you for your support in signing this petition and spreading the word.

Come one come all and join the rally for Birmingham’s Public Libraries!
