Birmingham is recognisable all over the world as being "the birthplace of Heavy Metal" and rightly so with such important pioneers hailing from the area such as Black Sabbath and Judas Priest. Not to mention the likes of ELO, Wizzard, Slade and Napalm Death. I don't feel as though Birmingham showcases it's heavy metal roots as well as it should, with only 2 stars in Broad Street recognising Ozzy Osbourne and Tony Iommi from Black Sabbath. Building a Hard Rock Café would bring Birmingham the attention it truly deserves and a place where everyone can go to celebrate the true birthplace of Heavy metal!
