Humans can go to the emergency room without money or insurance and not be turned away. However, animals cannot. Because of these laws, I had to watch the sweetest dog I've ever known suffer for 14 1/2 hours from seizure after seizure with no way of helping her. After all of that, she was too far gone to be saved. I couldn't even have her euthanized because I didn't have the money. The people who have made an oath to help and protect animals are willing to let them suffer and die instead because of money. I'm proposing a new law be put into place that gives these animals a right to emergency care regardless of money just as humans have. They may not be humans, but they still breathe and feel everything. They experience pain just as people due. It's not fair and is completely inhumane to punish them because their owners don't have a ridiculous amount of money at the drop of a dime to save them. Please help me make Nala's Law a reality in memory of her and to ensure that more animals don't suffer the way she did.
