Dear Petition Signers, A year has passed since we started this petition asking the DOE and Mayor De Blasio to remove Principal Monika Garg, and she is still there. - over 70% of CPE1 families have signed this petition - teachers have been harassed and retaliated against for speaking up; some enduring termination hearings - children has been neglected and remain unsupported by Garg after their teachers have been removed - new teachers have not received support and are now nervous that they will be retaliated against for preserving the school's progressive practices The parents of CPE1 will be presenting Principal Garg with a vote of "no confidence" on Thurs, April 6th at our SLT meeting (starting at 3:30). We would like for you to join us outside in a rally to take back CPE1. April 6th is also Deborah Meier's 86th birthday and we do this in her honor. Because we want the democratic, progressive school that she created and that has existed for over 40 years. Please see her message on www.savecpe1.org supporting our action. Help us send a message to Mayor De Blasio and Chancellor Fariña that we will not give up on our magical school. Let them know that parent voice and teachers matter! We hope to see you all on Thursday, April 6th at 4:30pm in front of Central Park East One Elementary School for a Rally in order to #SaveCPE1 Take Back CPE1 Rally Address: 1573 Madison Avenue, NY, NY 10029 106th St and Madison Avenue #savecpe1 #noconfidenceinGarg
