I was recently made aware of the atrocities that occurred at the puppy store, Chelsea Kennel Club, where I recently purchased a puppy. I urge everyone to not make the same mistake I did and either adopt a dog from a shelter, or from a reputable breeder. I am deeply ashamed for supporting such an awful business. An article was published in the Daily Mail where a Humane Society Worker went undercover and posed as an employee at Chelsea Kennel Club. A video was taken and depicted in the video are malnourished dogs, dogs with open wounds, sick dogs not being given proper medical assistance, and disturbing displays of abuse by staff members. Currently, my pomeranian puppy, Thunder, who I purchased from Chelsea Kennel Club in early May has been deemed healthy by our family vet. After reading this article and watching the video I can't help but feeling scared for my dogs health in the future. What I saw in that video was horrifying. With this petition, I hope to spare any animal that is boarded into Chelsea Kennel Club or any New York City petstore such cruelty.
