Hi all,
Today was the day we all came together, and spoke about our stories, our tragedies, and our love.
I wanted to quickly thank each and every single of you who signed today, who came and supported, and who came to grieve with our family today.
This wasn’t an easy thing to do, and I don’t think it ever will be easy - however I feel seen today. I feel heard, and I think we should all start to feel this way as well.
These baby steps were taking all together is creating something very impactful, and very powerful.
I know Maddie was looking down on all of us today, and I know she is so extremely proud of us.
Yes, Maddie should have been standing beside us today. But since she can’t, we will keep using our voices for her. She should still be here with us.
Thank you again, truly. From the bottom of my heart - to everyone who showed up, to all the people who have shown support through sharing, conversations and likings. We need more people like you all around. We’re going to make great things happen, I can feel it.
Now, I wanted to share news;
Will Greaves (Liberal) is a member of parliament in Victoria and he is currently petitioning for a new bill called “E-6770” that is basically what our whole campaign is about. This bill, is exactly what Bill C332 should have been in the first place.
I do ask that you guys help petition the new bill as well, help sign, share and keep talking about it.
Here’s the link to the website - there’s more information on there as well.
With that being said - this campaign isn’t going anywhere. Just because we are petitioning for an older bill, again, doesn’t mean it can’t come back in another form in today’s world, like what we’re seeing in Victoria now.
If we keep pushing, we can make a change. I know we can. We got this.
Lots of love, always.
