The MMORPG Battlestar Galactica Online will be discontinued in 2019. According to game support, Bigpoint Games was unable to reach an agreement with Syfy and NBCUniversal Television Consumer Products to renew the license of the game.

The Battlestar Galactica Online players began to protest virtually using the hashtag #saveBSGO on the Bigoint Games page, Battlestar Galactica Online, DarkOrbit, and Yoozoo Games, on facebook. It is worth remembering that most of BSGO's players are fans of the Battlestar Galactica series.

We want Bigpoint Games, Syfy and NBCUniversal Television Consummer Products to come to an agreement for Battlestar Galactica Online to be kept on the air. Battlestar Galactica Online is being abandoned by Bigpoint Games. Syfy and NBCUniversal are abandoning the series and films of the Battlestar Galactica / Caprica universe. We BSG fans and BSG fans are feeling lonely and abandoned.
