Thank you to everyone for lending their voice and name in support of this important motion! I will print and deliver the motion and comments to council at Thursday's meeting. It's at 7pm at City Hall (1 Centennial Square in Victoria) and the everyone is welcome. I plan to make a short introduction and read from some of the comments, as many of you are very inspirational. My hope that the motion is given such a show of support that amendments weakening the motion aren't offered, and all the councillors can't help but vote in favor! One issue is that it takes several hours for signatures to show up on the printable form of the petition, so I don't think any signatures will show up after 12:00 noon on Thursday. For that reason, I would so appreciate you sharing the petition to your networks. We have about 48 hours left. It's amazing that I will be able to say that I am representing almost 100 people who are virtually standing with me at the meeting, and if I can say a higher number it will only add influence to our statement of support.
