Happy International Woman's Day 2020
Mar 8, 2020 —
Wishing you all a happy International Women's Day, 2020. Today we celebrate the indomitable spirit of women throughout history and across nations.
Today I want to celebrate all those women you have challenged the status quo and became a part of the commercial driving workforce. It is not easy to swim against the tide of societal pressure, which dictates that certain male-dominated professions aren't meant for women.
With that being said, today is also the deadline of the campaign. Sadly, we don't have a response from either Ola Cabs or Uber.
But the fight for safer cabs will continue. Our voices will be heard and #Cabs4Her will be a reality.
From 200 signatures on the day I made the petition online to 1 lakh + supporters by International Women's Day 2020, this journey has been a long one. And it will continue till we have 200 more women become cab drivers. Each one of you believed in this petition and signed it with a dream of a safer world for women. A world where there is high probability of me being matched with a female driver.
I am sure both, Ola Cabs and Uber believe in empowering women and will celebrate Women's Day on their social media handles. So lets ask them to actually do something to make cab travel safer for women.

I know I ask you all to tweet a lot but how else can we get these brands to take action.
Going forward I have exciting plans for this campaign. I will reveal them in a few days. So look out for my next update.
I'd love to hear from all of you. What do you think I should do next? Leave a comment below after you finish tweeting.
Thank you once again for all your support throughout this journey.
