On Friday, we celebrated International Women’s Day 2019. I am confident that by next year this time we will have bigger celebrations. Because Ola Cabs will have done as I have asked: trained and hired 200 women as commercial cab drivers International Women’s Day 2020. The countdown has begun!

I believe they will listen to me because of the survey they conducted recently. It confirmed what many women like me have been saying for so long. Only 9% of women feel safe about taking public transport. Women in 11 cities included mine (Mumbai) have spoken. And Ola Cabs is listening! I am so excited about this. (I’ve attached the article for you to read about the survey: ‘What Do Women and Girls Want from Urban Mobility Systems?’)

By doing this survey, it is clear that Ola Cabs is tuning in to the needs of its female clientele and may be inclined to implement my idea. Let’s get Ola Cabs’ attention to make #RideWithShe a reality real soon.
