Some students may not know this, but KSU got into cahoots with Aramark to incorporate the new dining services.

"It's no coincidence this happened when Aramark took over. The real protest should be against them.
They're an exploitative private company with a long history of awful service, low worker compensation, reducing food portions, anti-competitive businesses practices, and being incredibly shady overall. Everything goes to sh*t wherever they take over, yet they still make their money.
They thrive on the fact you have no other options so they can do whatever they like. They are given mini-monopolies over food services in all the stadiums, schools, and prisons they are allowed into, i.e. places where their customers are captive. Someone on campus should try doing a bake sale or something, see what happens. Aramark will shut it down for being competition. It's called a Captive Market.
The fact KSU got in bed with them is suggestive of profit-only thinking or even straight up corruption in the leadership. That's the real issue here, that's what needs student's attention. Students are paying outrageous costs for tuition and room and board already, they shouldn't be subjected to Aramark's captive market. It drives the value of the campus down considerably."
I felt this was important information to add to the petition in order to get a deeper understanding of the corporate greed behind this move. Thank you.
