The annual sheep race at Hoo farm Telford has been cancelled as animal rights campaigners feel it is cruel, the farm has received threats against them if they continue with the race. 

The race is a bit of fun for the public, the sheep are trained to a bucket so will naturally run to food at the other end of the course, sheep being sheep will not do anything they don't want to, they are not made to do it in anyway at all. Sheep naturally run and jump in the fields, this is no different and as they are from a farm open to the public they are tame and use to the noise etc.
