Rainbow Chip frosting has a huge following. It has been a tradition in many families to serve Rainbow Chip cake with Rainbow Chip frosting.  A quick trip to the Rainbow Chip frosting product page on Betty Crocker's website shows many comments lamenting the discontinuation of this product with no warning.

Betty Crocker's replacement of a frosting in which sprinkles are added, as well as other similiar sprinkle-based products offered by competitors simply are not nearly as good as the rainbow chips.
