The income requirement for self-employment visas rises in the midst of a pandemic, in spite of the continued economic impact on the cultural sector.

The Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs is proposing changes to the immigration regulations for self-employment. This proposal is currently on Høring (public hearing). For more information, please read the original Høringsbrev here. The deadline for members of the public to submit their own response to this Høring is on January 22.

In response, Verdensrommet is launching a media campaign on January 21 and has joined forces with NBK (Norske Billedkunstnere) and UKS (Unge Kunstneres Samfund) to act as one bloc in submitting an official response to the Høring.
