Tell Congress to remove the ten-year limit on the Montgomery GI Bill

Tell Congress to remove the ten-year limit on the Montgomery GI Bill
The Issue
Please stand with those who served in the period before 9/11 and tell your Senators to remove a ten-year limit on the Montgomery GI Bill.
Thousands of veterans have benefited from using the Montgomery GI Bill and it’s a great deal, but there is a time limit of ten years to use it. After leaving the military service, some veterans have to juggle with many of life challenges, such as; adjusting to a new civilian life, changing a career or getting their family all settled in and before you know it, your time has expired before using this benifit.
Please sign this petition and tell Congress this is not a handout, but a benefit we earned from our service. Qualified veterans for the Montgomery GI Bill has paid $100.00 a month for twelve months and served for over three years with an honorable discharge in order to qualify for this benefit.
Online schools have provided an opportunity to get a degree or improve your career at anytime and veterans should never be restricted with any limitation for using these opportunities for getting an education. A well-educated nation makes a stronger economy and a better world.
