The Tailrace canal needs to be made a boat only canal! The currents that run through this canal are life threatening! The most experienced swimmer can still get caught in the undertow and swept away. 

On Sunday April 30th 2017, the canal took the life of a 15 year old boy, Donovan "Deuce" Smalley II. Over the past 4 years 8 people have drowned in this same canal. We need to take a stand and shut it down! How many more lives need to be taken before somebody does something?
