Hi friends and supporters! Thank you so much for your passion, for your time, and for your drive to stop the release of the film "Del Playa". We are so overwhelmed with support and gratitude. With over 5,200 signatures in 5 hours (!!!), we are carefully planning our next steps. We recognize that by creating a viral petition we are giving the filmmakers an insane amount of publicity, but believe that with enough support and passion we can direct this in a positive direction. As of tonight, we have contacted Berger Bros Entertainment with a list of challenges + concerns regarding "Del Playa". The film is a thinly veiled attempt to glorify the Isla Vista gunman, and its release is an issue that must be addressed. We recognize this is a sensitive issue for everyone involved and are working towards turning this great amount of momentum into positive change for both our community, and the families/friends of those affected. If you have any additions, or corrections to our campaign please reach out! We want to hear your concerns, your ideas, and your passionate thoughts.
