The annexation of the woods behind Slate Drive and bordering the Sandstone Ridge housing development is a rapidly approaching issue near and dear to many of our citizens. The annexation and development of this land not only affects the residents of Sandstone Ridge, but all of Berea, and the wildlife that live in those woods. 

We do not believe that this deal is a good one for the city of Berea. Many citizens specifically chose this area to build or buy their homes due to the preserved nature area. The logistics of this development are unclear, and would cause a hefty burden on the city of Berea and its citizens, from noise nuisance, to taxation, to utility services, to traffic, and loss of nature and privacy.

We implore our city council members to take into consideration their constituents strong feelings against the annexation and development of this land and vote against this issue. We hope that our council members understand and empathize in our fears and do the right thing for our citizens and beloved city.
