The route (Mehkri Circle to Hebbal Flyover) has rich shallow aquifer zones that have contributed to the water security of areas like Ganganagar, RT Nagar, Hebbal, etc. These will be disturbed and total dependency on imported water will be the future. - Friends of Lakes, Mr. Ram Prasad.

We, as concerned citizens of Namma Bengaluru, are fully aware of the importance of Water. Do we want to take chances with our meagre water sources - just to save a few minutes!!?? 

There are places in Bengaluru where Metro Tunnels have resulted in wells/borewells suddenly going dry - one example is around the location of Cantonment Metro Station (Bamboo Bazaar area).
