
Dear Fellow Neighbours and Campbellvillians!
Yes, it has been quiet on this channel and the petition has been stuck in the deep web of corporate and political bureaucracy for many months; however, that doesn't mean that we have given up!
Here are the facts that have come to light:
- Neither Bell, nor Rogers, or Cogeco have any plans on getting us connected with a sense of urgency.
- Starlink is a story that only those should tell that have made the experience first hand.
- Those of us that have been using Bell's cell technology have had to swallow the reality that the 5G network roll-out was done prematurely and that the network team has no clue when they are going to fix an issue that they can't even yet identify.
- We are still paying between $75 to $100 per month for disgracefully bad speeds and connectivity without any form of corporate apology or sincere regret.

MAGE Networks, based out of Calgary, AB has been working hard on getting our community connected.
I had several opportunities to speak with their customer service rep "Sophie" several times, as well as with their local Operations Specialist "Abe". Both have shown tremendous sense of urgency and courtesy to get things going.
Here's what CAN and NEEDS to happen if you all want to get into the New Year without data lag:
Send an email to service@mage-networks.com or visit their website at www.mage-networks.com and let them know:
- your postal address
- your contact number
- if you have an antenna tower or tall structure on your property
- if you would be willing to act as "relay point" to assist less accessible neighbours to bounce the MAGE signal off your property
With this information, Abe and his team can create a "connectivity map" and get started with installing their network hardware without having to wait for the months-long approval/permits from Milton Hydro, Bell and the other usual suspects.
Let's show our MP, MPP and Town Councillors that we can get this off the ground with good old neighbourly action!
