As there is a week of school between the end of midterms and our winter break, it is better to postpone our midterms to that week because it is not worth it for teachers to explain something new right before we take a break plus everyone will be drained from midterms. In addition to that, as a result of all the unforeseen school cancelations, teachers and students are being rushed to prepare for the midterms.
