Cuttagee Bridge Survey

Bermagui community members are working to save the iconic one-lane timber based  bridge at Cuttagee. We are concerned that Bega Valley Shire Council wants to demolish the bridge so as to turn Tourist Road 9 into a freight corridor, with more heavy freight vehicles using the coast road from Tilba to Tathra through Bermagui. This poses a threat to all the other one lane-bridges on the road.

Council’s current policy is to demolish Cuttagee Bridge and replace it with a ‘two-lane concrete structure’. 

We’d like to hear from you about what you think of these proposed changes. Please take the survey below and share the link with family, friends and neighbours to ensure we can hear from a wide range of locals and visitors to the region. We plan to collect survey results and share them with the Council before the end of this year.
