The South Carolina Environmental Law Project is part of the Gullah/Geechee Sustainability Think Tank.  They stepped up to file a motion on behalf of the Gullah/Geechee Fishing Association in order to insure that native Gullah/Geechees would have the opportunity to intervene and be able to state their case in OPPOSITION to the destructionment project planned for Bay Point off of historic St. Helena Island in Beaufort County, SC in the Gullah/Geechee Nation.  Recently, the Executive Director of SCELP, Amy Armstrong wrote a piece to further emphasize why they are standing up to save Bay Point.
