Beam-Suntory faces challenges like all whiskey producers, which include how to best utilize their stocks to meet customer demand and maximize their financial return.  As bourbon has increased in popularity (in particular in the premium and super-premium brands), this has created an environment where they may consider discontinuing brands.  Many of us are big fans of one of these labels which MAY be at risk of being discontinued:  Old Grand-Dad 114.

If Beam-Suntory has to discontinue a label, the fans of Old Grand-Dad 114 urge that they consider some other option (possibly discontinuing Old Grand-Dad 80 proof).  Fans of that bourbon could add water to either Old Grand-Dad 114, or Old Grand-Dad Bottled-in-Bond to enjoy it at 80 proof.  Fans of Old Grand-Dad 114 have no option should this label be discontinued.

We respectfully ask Beam-Suntory to consider the fans of Old Grand-Dad 114 and not discontinue this storied bourbon!
