Thank you for signing our petition to ensure Ontario cancer patients have equal access to take-home cancer drugs! Today is World Cancer Day - a day when we redouble our efforts to #CloseTheCareGap.

One of the care gaps our petition seeks to close is Take-Home Cancer Treatments, which have been game-changers for many with metastatic breast cancer. When it comes to access to take-home cancer treatments, Ontario cancer patients younger than 65 face a daunting care gap. If they lived in Western Provinces, Northern Territories or Quebec - if they were older than 65 - or if they had thousands of extra dollars - these patients would be granted faster, and easier access to take-home treatments.

Simply because of their age, region, and socioeconomic status, young Ontarians with cancer are significantly delayed getting the treatment they need because it comes in pill form taken at home rather than in the hospital. And are still out of pocket thousands of dollars.
