Dear petition signatories,
We have little time left now to get our message out there about the appalling media demonization of Jeremy Corbyn and the Labour Party, before Jeremy is succeeded by a new leader of the party early next month.
Though not directly related to the BBC’s bias, this interview published recently (see below for the online link) with former BBC journalist Nicholas Jones says it all. It would be great if you could send this interview link far and wide, and also urge people again to sign Richard House’s and our petitions on media bias against Labour (Richard’s is here: http://chng.it/jYMyjcms)
Also, the recent MediaNorth conference in Leeds where I had the pleasure of meeting the great Nick Jones, can be watched in its entirety here >> http://coldtype.net/MediaNorth.html – just click on the Conference tab.
See especially the great talks by Nick Jones, and also Drs Tom Mills and Justin Schlosberg. These are the brilliant young voices on the left who have great ideas for future media reform in Britain.
And lastly, do buy the CPBF MediaNorth book that comes out next month – Nick has two must-read chapters in it, and it’s bound to be a cracker. Here are the details >>
Granville Williams (ed.), It’s The Media, Stupid! The Media, the 2019 Election and the Aftermath, published by the Campaign for Press and Broadcasting Freedom – https://www.cpbf.org.uk/
Thanks for reading this, and for your shared commitment to a fair and just media in this country that befits a genuine democracy worth the name.
Kind regards
John Han
