4000 signatures in less than 24 hours!

"Big, scary issues in the world we know - but we need our moments of joyfulness too!" - This is what @clothspot said on Twitter earlier this morning & I think this sums up the motivation for this petition. Thanks to everyone for signing and sharing so far. TV types have been keen to point out that the ratings for the GBSB dropped in the last series, so this is probably the BBC's motivation not to jump at recommissioning the show. However as commenter Claire Mackaness has pointed out last year the GBSB was moved from a slot in February (cosy, stay inside watch Hygge telly primetime) to July (stay outside and enjoy the sunshine) so it is not comparative to say the show had lost viewing figures as this isn't comparing like with like. BBC 6 had reprieve due to listener pressure and there are lots of examples of fan petitions that got shows recommissioned when the programme makers had thought there were dead - Cagney and Lacey and Arrested Development for example, so this has got to be worth a try.
