So, we have all recently found out Peter Capaldi is leaving Doctor Who, and, as there are no news of the show ending, it is safe to assume the Doctor will regenerate, so the show needs a new actor to portray the  five decade-spanning character.

But what if it wasn't an actor at all? 

Recently, Paul McGann, who played the 8th Doctor tweeted the possibility of Tilda Swinton becoming the next Doctor, and I totally agree, and I know for a fact that I am not the only one.

Making Tilda Swinton the next Doctor would be the first time a woman plays the part, which alone is great, but social ideologies aside, she is a terrific actress, and in my personal opinion, has this ethereal and classy aura that fits perfectly for a 20-something centuries alien who travels all of time and space. 

I don't want to force the Doctor to be a woman, but the next one should be the best possible option, and if that best possible option is Tilda Swinton (and she may very well be), they should really make it happen.
