GB Women’s Basketball Team, who are Commonwealth Silver Medalists are currently competing in the Euro Championships in a bid to qualify for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics despite the lack of funding and popularity of the sport with children and young people in the UK

Women's basketball and indeed basketball in general is the UK's second most popular sport uptaken by schools and people in the UK,yet the coverage and funding received is massively lacking. Team GB were very successful last campaign and even now are having a huge impact on Europe, yet nobody knows. We moan about obesity and health worries yet don't encourage achievements in sport that are huge . Let's get this changed and give it the notability this deserves.
