Adobe announced back in November 2011 that they were ceasing development of Flash Player for browsers, meaning that Windows Phone 7 mobiles will never get a Flash Player. It also means that any future moblie devices (phone, tablet, etc.) from any manufacturer may not also be able to display Flash-based content in their browser.
Given this fact, why are the BBC continuing to develop online content that requires the Flash Player browser plugin?
We call on the BBC to embrace HTML5, and use it's built-in technologies for displaying content, thus making videos within their web site pages viewable in any compatible browser on any device.
