I'm declaring victory!!!

Hello everyone, To be accurate, I think it was just a little over a year ago I stated that hopefully this time in 2018 we will be able to definitively claim victory. Having watched all episodes of the latest run of "Still Open All Hours" I believe we can!!! You might recall that last year I had a slight doubt because I wasn't sure whether one episode included mimicking of stammering or not. I note the petition now has 92 signatures. If I remember correctly, at the start of the 2016/17 run of the programme there were 86/7, so thank you to that extra 5 or 6 of you. As I said, the fact it has so few signatures makes the point about lack of awareness and understanding of stammering. That said, I can understand why perhaps some might still be disappointed. However, ironically the fact we have succeeded with so few signatures makes it even more pertinent. It would be so interesting to know some of the conversations that went on between those involved with the programme! I will therefore close the petition. I'm not sure if that will automate another message. So, well done to all of us and I would be very pleased to hear from some of you. Hope 2018 is a good year for you and that you might find raising a glass or two appropriate! Best regards. John
