Ban Bing on CBeebies

Ban Bing on CBeebies
The Issue
Bing Bunny is supposed to help children with the daily situations they may face and possibly need help understanding. Unfortunately it does quite the opposite.
Bing episodes encourage children to whinge and give them ideas of complexes that they did not have previously! My son is an all round good eater - there is no coincidence that after watching an episode of Bing who said he doesn’t like his food ‘mixed up’ and his carer supported his theory by separating it for him rather than encouraging him eat it as it is - my son refused to eat his food when peas were touching the carrots. He whinged and used the same words Bing used.
Bing episodes have made my son fearful of the dark after watching the episode of Bing being afraid.
In addition, Bing does not speak properly for example saying - ‘I falled down’. His speech is NEVER corrected by his carer. I don’t understand why a tv programme for children would promote incorrect speech?
I know my family is not alone in this situation and other parents have written blog posts on the same issues - describing that they feel they are losing their child who is turning into the whining Bing Bunny!!
Please help by signing this petition to get the BBCs attention to understand the massive influence and negative impact programmes such as Bing have on our next generation.
Thank you
